For Employees
For each employee, the company purchases carbon certificates equivalent to 8 tons of CO2, ensuring the neutralization of the carbon footprint.
Offset means Compensation
Offset projects are initiatives designed to compensate or reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
How GX works
GreenXchange (GX) is an innovative trading platform for voluntary carbon credits, created by the Romanian Association for Smart City aimed at facilitating the sustainable exchange of carbon credits, thus supporting emission reduction initiatives and promoting economic and ecological development in smart communities.
Calculate the carbon footprint
You can use the carbon footprint calculator to estimate your company's impact on the environment. This step involves entering specific data related to daily or operational activities.
You choose the Project
Based on the calculated carbon footprint, users can choose to support various compensation projects that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions, such as reforestation projects or biodiversity conservation.
Purchase of Carbon Credits
Users can purchase carbon credits directly through the platform. For ARSC members, there is the option to purchase credits at special prices.
Impact Tracking and Reporting
The platform provides tools for tracking the impact of sustainability actions. Users can see their progress and report this progress to stakeholders.
What is Carbon Offsetting?
Step 1
Carbon offset refers to a company purchasing a volume of Voluntary Carbon Credits that reflect its associated carbon emissions
Step 2
Purchased Voluntary Carbon Credits represent an investment in a CO2 reduction project recognized and accredited by ARSC and ARBDD
Step 3
By purchasing these credits, you act directly in offsetting your carbon footprint, supporting initiatives that help preserve and protect the environment
Your advantages
Direct Contribution to Global Sustainability
Buying carbon credits is an effective way for individuals and organizations to take direct responsibility for their greenhouse gas emissions. Through this action, they actively contribute to projects that reduce CO2 emissions, thus helping to combat climate change and promote a more sustainable future.
Improving Corporate Reputation and Responsibility
Organizations that invest in carbon credits demonstrate a strong commitment to social responsibility and environmental protection. This can significantly improve their reputation among consumers, partners and investors, who are increasingly aware of the importance of sustainability.
Compliance and Tax Benefits
In many jurisdictions, the purchase of carbon credits can help organizations meet legal requirements and regulations regarding carbon emissions. This may also provide tax benefits, such as tax reductions or credits, depending on the specific legislation of each country or region.
Access to the Green Market and New Business Opportunities
Purchasing carbon credits can open doors to new markets and business opportunities, particularly in the expanding green sector. Companies can use this involvement as a point of competitive differentiation and to explore partnerships with other sustainability-oriented entities.
Buy carbon credits
Buy carbon credits issued in the European Union. The Danube Delta entered UNESCO’s world heritage in 1991, being classified as a national biosphere reserve in Romania and as a national park in the international taxonomy of the IUCN
